About the Role
The Hillingdon Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an exceptional Spiritual Care Leader to join our team. As a critical part of our department, you will work alongside an Assistant Chaplain and volunteers to provide generic pastoral and spiritual support at our hospitals.
This exciting opportunity involves working with diverse patients, carers, and staff to deliver high-quality care while upholding professional and emotional boundaries.
You will be responsible for recruiting, training, and supporting pastoral support volunteers, showcasing management or supervisory experience in a volunteering context. Your expertise in volunteer management principles and your ability to work within a culturally diverse setting will be valuable assets to our team.
In this role, you will also have the chance to develop and lead a team, leveraging your leadership skills to enhance our services.
We are looking for someone who can manage budgets, people, and the staff-client interface effectively, ensuring that our patients receive exceptional care.
A degree or diploma in a relevant subject such as pastoral support, counselling, or social care is essential, along with paid or voluntary experience in a similar setting.
As a qualified and experienced Spiritual Care Leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our department's future, driving improvements in patient care, and fostering a supportive environment for our staff.
Key Responsibilities
- To oversee the provision of generic pastoral and spiritual support across our hospitals
- To recruit, train, and support pastoral support volunteers
- To develop and lead a team of chaplains and volunteers
- To manage budgets and resources effectively
- To maintain professional and emotional boundaries while delivering exceptional care
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in a relevant subject such as pastoral support, counselling, or social care

Salary and Benefits
