We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Food Technology Teacher to join our team at Placing People Direct. As a key member of our education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons to our students and contributing to the development of our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion the School's Values: Embody and promote the school's values and beliefs, fostering a supportive and inspiring learning environment.
- Raise Student Attainment: Utilize individual student data to set high standards and implement effective interventions to ensure all students achieve their best, as evidenced by external examinations.
- Promote Continuity and Excellence: Bridge the gap between Key Stages, ensuring seamless progression and consistently high standards.
- Cultivate a Safe Learning Environment: Create a classroom atmosphere where students feel safe, motivated, and excited to learn.
- Support Curriculum Development: Work with the Director of Learning Zone Technology to deliver a dynamic and relevant curriculum, incorporating cross-curricular themes like business and finance.
- Demonstrate Innovative and Strategic Thinking: Ability to lead Target Action Planning initiatives and develop strategies that raise student attainment.
- Promote Strong Communication Skills: Engage with all stakeholders, including parents, to build strong partnerships and communicate effectively about student progress and curriculum matters.
- Have a Commitment to Professional Development: Enthusiasm for continuous personal growth and contribution to staff development initiatives.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold high standards through lesson observations, data analysis, and contributing to quality control systems.
- Pastoral Care: Monitor and support students' overall progress and development, acting as a Form Tutor and contributing to PSHE and citizenship education.
- Health & Safety: Adhere to and promote the school's health and safety policies.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- A degree in a relevant subject area (higher degree is desirable).
- Recent participation in a range of relevant in-service training/professional development.
- Successful leadership and management at middle leader level (desirable).
- Experience of working at a school with Specialist status (desirable).
- Current First Aid certification.
- Current Safeguarding certification.
- Current COSHH certification.
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
