We are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Ctsrecruit in Preston. This is a permanent role created due to continued expansion and business growth. The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an FMCG/Industrial maintenance-based role within a manufacturing environment.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is in a safe and serviceable condition to maintain and enhance performance of all machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • To reduce engineering downtime, respond rapidly to machine failures and breakdowns.
  • Undertake projects and assist with all on-site installations.
  • To prioritize work within the engineering department and deploy resources accordingly.
  • To identify training needs or 'weak spots' within the department.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must be time served with a demonstrable background in Mechanical Maintenance.
  • Familiar with Siemens PLCs.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems including Conveyors, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Motors, and Pumps.
