About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Base Operative to join our team at OBM People. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of all crane lifting operations, planning of lifting operations, and maintaining the cleanliness of lifting operations/deck areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of all crane lifting operations.
  • Assist with the planning of lifting operations.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness of the lifting operations/deck areas.
  • Assist with the loading/unloading of containers and cargo handling.
  • Regularly participate and contribute to the review of procedures, work aids, and risk assessments.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • Customer and safety focused with a proven track record within quayside operations.
  • Accustomed to working effectively in a fast-paced environment, flexible, and able to adapt to changing workloads and priorities.

  • Motivated to achieve the highest standards of performance and customer support, maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
