Substantive Consultant in General Paediatrics with Oncology Interest

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Oncology Consultant to join our team at Barts Health NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions.

About the Role

The Paediatric Oncology Consultant will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care to patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing medical care to patients with cancer and other life-threatening conditions
  • Working closely with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care
  • Participating in the development and implementation of clinical guidelines and protocols
  • Providing education and training to junior doctors and other healthcare professionals

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Full registration with the GMC with a licence to practice
  • Be on the GMC specialist register or be within six months of successful completion of UK paediatric training at the time of interview
  • Experience in managing paediatric haematology/oncology patients
  • Higher specialist training in Paediatric Medicine
  • At least six months of PICU at middle grade level
