Job Role
We are seeking a skilled Wood Machinist Apprentice to join our team. As a Wood Machinist Apprentice, you will be responsible for operating wood cutting machines to create high-quality hardwood sofa frames.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating wood cutting machines to produce high-quality hardwood sofa frames
- Learning and understanding frame design and specifications
- Learning the importance of timber and environmental issues and requirements
- Assembling frames to ensure high-quality standards
- Maintaining a clean and tidy work area
- Learning the polishing of show wood
- Understanding health and safety protocols around COSHH and polishing
Requirements
- Good attitude and character
- Resilience and ability to work with hands
- Interest in working creatively
