Join Unite People and our partner Civil engineering firm in seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to spearhead water sector projects in West Yorkshire.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of electrical engineering projects within Yorkshire Water's infrastructure, focusing on the installation of M&E elements at water treatment facilities.

You will work in close collaboration with project managers, technical leaders, clients, supply chain partners, and sub-contractors to foster a culture of excellence and drive project success.

To excel in this position, you must possess extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering, preferably with a background working with water board clients such as Yorkshire Water, United Utilities, or Northumbrian Water.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the management and delivery of electrical engineering projects within Yorkshire Water's infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with technical, quality, and safety standards.
  • Prepare and review critical documentation, including risk assessments, method statements, and technical reports.
  • Promote consistent support in project planning and budgeting across the project team.
  • Evaluate project scopes, technical specifications, and design solutions to optimize project outcomes.

Necessary Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related subject.
  • CSCS Card or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in the UK water sector, particularly in water treatment or wastewater projects.

Salary Range: The estimated annual salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000, based on experience.
