About the Role

Derbyshire Dales Primary Care Network is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician - Medication Optimization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in supporting our healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of efficient medicines optimisation processes to ensure effective patient care.
• Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare professionals, patients, and carers to promote safe and effective medication use.
• Provide training and support on the legal, safe, and secure handling of medicines, including the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
• Collaborate with the clinical team to deliver structured medication reviews and support the implementation of national prescribing policies and guidance.
• Support the development and implementation of practice policies for CQC requirements.

Requirements

• Professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• BTEC/NVQ level 3 or equivalent in pharmaceutical sciences.
• Experience of working as a qualified, registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community, or hospital pharmacy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the needs of the service.
