Role Summary

This position involves working with the Manufacturing Process Engineering Team at Mallaghan Engineering to develop and improve existing manufacturing systems, processes, procedures, and equipment. The goal is to maximise safety, quality, and delivery while minimising costs.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in engineering, experience in manufacturing, and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles. Strong communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are also essential.

The salary range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per annum, and we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health and wellbeing programme, private dental insurance, and on-site parking.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Plan, coordinate, and implement efficient production methods for manufacturing major sub-components and final assembly of machines.
  2. Work with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to resolve manufacturing issues and implement improvements.
  3. Implement best practices to improve safety, quality, and efficiency on the shop floor.
  4. Design and develop ergonomic processes using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  5. Support production teams and lead new product introductions.
