Bowdon Associates Ltd in Altrincham is looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead our housing development projects. The role requires a professional with a strong background in house building, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring they stay within budget.
The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of quantity surveying in the house building industry, with excellent communication and analytical skills. They will be able to work effectively in a team environment, prioritising tasks and meeting deadlines.
Key Objectives- Manage three housing projects concurrently, focusing on commercial performance and budget control.
- Develop and implement commercial management systems, providing real-time reporting and forecasts.
- Prepare bills of quantities, tender documentation, and analyse tenders for subcontractors and materials.
- Collaborate with the design team, contributing to project strategy and cost-effective delivery.
- A recognised QS degree or equivalent qualification.
- At least five years of experience in house building, preferably as a senior quantity surveyor.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to apply common sense in complex situations.
- Prioritisation and time management skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and delivery.
- Familiarity with IT systems and tools.
The salary for this position is up to £65,000, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
