About the Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Secondary Education Professional to join our team at Hailsham Community College Academy Trust. This is a full-time position, required from January 2025. The successful candidate will have a strong passion for teaching and a commitment to delivering high-quality education.

About the College

Hailsham Community College Academy Trust is a well-resourced and ambitious school that values consistency of student experience and sustained improvement. Our college has undergone significant development in recent years, with the opening of a new state-of-the-art development on the secondary site. This includes a three-storey teaching block containing 22 classrooms and SEND hub, a fully refurbished Post 16 Learning Centre, and a floodlit all-weather sports pitch.

The Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Social Studies and PSHE to students in Year 7-11.
  • Develop and implement effective lesson plans and assessments.
  • Monitor and track student progress, identifying areas for improvement.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual who shares our commitment to excellence. You will have a degree in a relevant subject area, a PGCE or equivalent, and experience of teaching in a secondary setting. You will also be able to demonstrate your ability to work effectively with colleagues and contribute to the ongoing development of the college.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £45,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including cycle-to-work scheme and corporate membership to Benenden Health Care.
