About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Security Officer to join our team at ABM UK. As a leading provider of facility services, we have been serving various locations since 1987.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of our clients' premises. They will be responsible for monitoring and controlling access, responding to emergencies, conducting regular patrols, and enforcing security procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the premises, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry
  • Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter vandalism, theft, and other security threats
  • Respond to emergencies and incidents, taking appropriate action and reporting incidents to the relevant authorities
  • Enforce security procedures and regulations, including checking identification and conducting bag searches if necessary
  • Monitor security systems, such as CCTV cameras and alarm systems, to identify any unusual activity or breaches
  • Provide excellent customer service, assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and directions
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of all security-related activities

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of security protocols and procedures
  • Ability to handle stressful and emergency situations calmly and professionally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and make quick decisions
  • Physical fitness and stamina to perform regular patrols and handle physical security tasks
  • Valid SIA Security Guard or Door Supervisor License
