Main Responsibilities:

  • Undertake all aspects of bookkeeping, including financial data entry, reconciliations, and account management.

  • Draft personal and corporate tax returns, including supporting documentation, tax planning, and long-term wealth management strategies.
  • Prepare management accounts and handle VAT returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their accounting systems, processes, and business needs to provide tailored advice and support.
  • Supervise onsite or project-specific staff teams and review their work to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Assist in the development and mentoring of junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Experience with VAT returns and a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Part qualified or qualified with at least 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well within a team and with clients.
  • Motivated and able to work to deadlines, with a keen eye for detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
