Job Title:

Special Educational Needs Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to work across Primary Schools in Nottingham City and surrounding areas. As a SENCO, you will be responsible for coordinating specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability.

Responsibilities:
  • Undertake professional duties and responsibilities of a SENCO
  • Co-ordinate specific provision to support individual pupils with SEN or a disability
  • Manage associated paperwork
Requirements:
  1. Proven experience as a SENCO or in a similar role within a special educational needs setting
  2. In-depth knowledge of SEN legislation, policies, and best practices
  3. Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  4. A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with diverse needs
  5. A relevant degree and SENCO qualification are essential
  6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  7. Flexibility and availability to work on a daily supply basis
  8. An enhanced DBS check on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
