Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Technician to join our team at Banner Associates, Inc. in South Dakota. This role involves conducting and documenting observations of construction progress, performing civil engineering calculations, and collaborating with other field representatives and/or Project Managers.

As a Construction Technician, you will be responsible for onsite construction monitoring of various projects across the state. Your duties will include:
  1. Conducting and documenting observations of construction progress
  2. Performing civil engineering calculations; preparing engineering plans, designs, and reports
  3. Conducting or coordinating field materials sampling and testing
  4. Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications
  5. Collaborating with other field representatives and/or Project Managers
  6. Serving as a liaison with clients, government and regulatory authorities, and contractors
  7. Prioritizing overall project management and ensuring successful project delivery

The ideal candidate will have proven problem-solving and documentation abilities, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong written and oral communication skills. A 2-year or 4-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or similar disciplines is preferred. The estimated salary for this role is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
