Senior DevOps Engineer

This role forms part of the Security Engineering Team; working within the wider Group CISO business unit. As the Senior DevOps Engineer, your primary focus is to define and run an effective DevOps lifecycle by maintaining appropriate tools, expertise, and processes to develop enhancements to Aviva's security stack.

About the role:

  • Lead and mentor a multiskilled team of DevOps engineers developing a strong culture of technical excellence and ensure core DevOps methodologies are implemented to the highest standard.
  • Develop the technical skillset of the team and foster an environment that promotes self-development.
  • Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to design and implement automated deployment pipelines.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to grow the DevOps function into new business areas from where to provide added value.
  • Maintain the effective operation of multiple CI/CD pipelines which underpin core security services and support continuous delivery approach including tooling and automated testing and deployments.

What you'll get for this role:

  • Salary Circa £50,000 National. Salary Circa £70,000 London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
  • Bonus opportunity 10% of annual salary. Actual amount depends on your performance and Aviva's.
