We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at Meridian Business Support. As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our credit control processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Portfolio Management: You will be responsible for managing a small portfolio of member accounts, ensuring timely payments and maintaining good communication with members.
- Credit Control: You will be responsible for ensuring that deadlines on the credit control calendar are met, and that members' payments are received on time.
- Stop Process: You will be involved in the business's stop process, monitoring and enforcing members' credit limits.
- Member Issues: You will be responsible for escalating any member issues or adverse events internally.
- Query Resolution: You will be proactive in resolving member/supplier queries, working to reduce overdue debt and meet KPIs.
- Process Documentation: You will ensure that credit control processes are fully documented, reviewed, and kept up to date.
- Administration: You will perform ad-hoc administration duties as requested.
- IT Literacy: You will have strong IT literacy, with a high level of competency in Microsoft Excel.
- Communication Skills: You will have confidence and ability to build strong working relationships with team members and other stakeholders.
- Team Player: You will be a proven team player, with interpersonal skills sufficient to support, advise, and influence members of staff.
- Numeracy and Mathematical Ability: You will have strong numeracy and mathematical ability, with a confident telephone manner and negotiation skills.
- Adaptability: You will have a willing and adaptable aptitude to provide support to the finance team when necessary.
