London, Greater London, United Kingdom La Fosse Full time

We are seeking a highly skilled Artificial Intelligence Software Engineer to join our small, dynamic team at La Fosse. As a key member of our engineering team, you will play a vital role in shaping the technology and product, while directly contributing to the overall success and growth of our company.

Job Description

In this exciting opportunity, you will be responsible for developing core product features, mostly focused on front-end development with JavaScript, NextJs (and some TypeScript). You will also shape the architecture, designing and implementing scalable, robust systems that solve real-world problems for charities.

Average Salary: £90,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: 3-4 times a week in our London office. We believe in remote work flexibility but require candidates to have occasional face-to-face collaboration with the team.

You will be working closely with customers (charities and funders) to understand their needs and ensure the product delivers maximum value. Additionally, you will collaborate with the co-founders and the engineering team to deliver high-quality, user-centric solutions in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

About Our Company

We are an ambitious start-up revolutionizing the way charities work. With a mission to simplify the complexity of the charity sector through AI-powered solutions, we are building a platform that saves organizations time, increases access to services, and enables them to secure more funding. The sector is massive, yet underserved by technology, and we are at the forefront of solving this critical problem.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Developing Core Product Features: Build front-end and back-end features, focusing on front-end development with JavaScript, NextJs, and some TypeScript.
  • Shaping the Architecture: Design and implement scalable, robust systems that solve real-world problems for charities.
  • Ai Integration: Help build out AI-powered tools that enable charities to analyze data and create impact reports to secure funding.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with customers (charities and funders), co-founders, and the engineering team to deliver high-quality solutions.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Several years of full-stack development experience, strong knowledge of JavaScript, and ideally some experience with TypeScript. Experience with React is essential, and familiarity with Elasticsearch would be beneficial.
  • Customer-First Mindset: You're excited about using your engineering skills to make a positive impact and understand the challenges faced by small, local charities.
  • Ownership: You're comfortable taking on complex features from initial design to production and willing to learn and grow with the company.
  • Self-Driven & Collaborative: You thrive in a small, dynamic team, taking initiative while working closely with others to solve tough problems.

What We Value

  • Mission First: Charities come first; everything we do is driven by the mission to support charities in achieving their goals.
  • Transparency: We value honesty, openness, and a willingness to learn from others.
  • Speed & Execution: Our team moves fast to build solutions that have an immediate impact.
  • Kindness & Respect: We believe in empathy and respect in every interaction—whether with a customer or a colleague.
