Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Peripatetic Navigator to join our Calderdale Recovery Steps Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing person-centered support to individuals in need, facilitating their progression into structured treatment, and promoting recovery-oriented interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide warm and welcoming experiences for service users, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.
  • Facilitate and promote the progression of individuals from initial engagement into structured treatment, supporting treatment access at the earliest opportunity.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and respond to individual needs as they present, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Contribute to reducing substance-related harm to individuals and the wider community, promoting harm reduction strategies and interventions.
  • Collaborate closely with key partners and colleagues to achieve the best health and wellbeing outcomes for individuals, leveraging the strengths of our multi-agency approach.
  • Apply co-production principles to any stage of treatment and recovery, ensuring service users are empowered and engaged throughout the process.
  • Think creatively about treatment options, changes, and transitions, adapting to the evolving needs of our service users.
  • Encourage service users to become involved in the service and in service user forums, enhancing their experience and promoting a sense of belonging.
  • Support case management tasks for individuals, covering sickness and annual leave as required, and contributing to the overall success of our team.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, colleagues, and partners.
  • Strong assessment and intervention skills, with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-agency team, leveraging the strengths of our approach to achieve the best outcomes.
  • Knowledge of recovery-oriented and harm reduction strategies, with the ability to apply these principles in practice.
  • Ability to think creatively and adapt to new situations, with a strong focus on continuous learning and professional development.
  • Strong boundaries and ability to apply co-production principles, ensuring service users are empowered and engaged throughout the process.
