Job Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Scientist to work within the Photodermatoses Programme of the NIHR Manchester Biomedical Research Centre. The role involves exploring psychological aspects of photosensitivity disorders, which affect high proportions of the UK population.

About the Role

The post-holder will use mixed qualitative and quantitative methods to examine patient perception of the patient-clinician partnership with a view to making improvements that assist the long-term self-management of photoprotective measures in photodermatoses patients.

Requirements

Applicants must have a first degree and PhD in psychology or related subject with experience of human volunteer studies and in evaluating patient perception and self-management. Experience as a healthcare professional and of dermatology research is desirable.
