Key Responsibilities:
  1. To carry out routine work with limited supervision & have an understanding of safety consequences in a high-risk environment.
  2. Liaise/Interface with relevant stakeholders i.e. Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD & Build Operations to ensure activities are undertaken in a safe & compliant manner.
  3. Instruct & mentor less experienced members of the team within your knowledge & competency.
  4. Responsible for researching, authoring & reviewing design and test documentation to the required standard.
  5. Keep full and accurate records of work activities carried out as required by policy, procedure & legislation.
  6. To represent the Company on Factory Acceptance Tests and offsite test facilities, Contractors Sea Trials and other outworking requirements (with scope for Overseas travel).
  7. Responsible for delivering assigned activities in line with Company policy, procedures and legislation.
Requirements:
  1. Knowledge of mechanical system operation, ideally Steam and condensate systems, lubricating oil and cooling systems.
  2. Experience with commissioning of complex heavy machinery plants e.g. diesels and turbo generators and steam turbine plants.
  3. Knowledge of test equipment & activities required for specific tests.
  4. Aware of Nuclear Site/Authorisation Conditions.
  5. Understanding of Mechanical Flushing and Pressure & Endurance Testing and setting to work of systems.
