As a Part-Time Teacher of Special Educational Needs (SEN), you'll play a vital role in supporting secondary school students with SEN. Our ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SEN theory and practice, with experience working with students who require additional support. You'll be able to adapt your teaching methods to meet individual student needs, showcasing creativity and flexibility in lesson planning. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of SEN legislation and best practices, including the importance of personalised learning and collaborative working.

As a key member of our support staff, you'll work closely with teachers, students, and parents to develop individualised education plans and promote academic progress and social development. This is a part-time role, offering a healthy work-life balance and the opportunity to pursue other interests. You'll work primarily within a school setting, collaborating with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive support for students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualised education plans based on students' needs
• Deliver engaging lessons and activities that cater to diverse learning styles

• Regularly assess student progress and adjust teaching strategies to meet evolving needs

Requirements:

• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Experience working with students with SEN, preferably in a secondary school setting
• Understanding of SEN legislation and best practices
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
• Additional training or certification in SEN support
• Experience working in a secondary school setting

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
