About the Role

To ensure the smooth operation of production lines, we are seeking a skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team at Brett Martin Limited. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up, starting, and controlling production machinery and ancillary equipment to meet quality standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure production materials are supplied to machines in accordance with specifications.
  • Set up, start up, and control production machinery and ancillary equipment as required.
  • Maintain the production process in accordance with quality standards.
  • Deal with non-conforming materials, processes, and products in accordance with company procedures.
  • Ensure adequate standards of safety, housekeeping, and cleanliness are applied and maintained in the workplace.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a technical or mechanical role.
  • Recent experience operating production machinery.
  • Previous experience in setting up machinery in line with specifications.
  • Previous experience in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
Desirable Criteria
  • A technical qualification in mechanical or production engineering.
  • Familiarity with plastics processing and extrusion experience.
  • Experience of TPM preferably in a continuous processing environment.
