Psychology Assistant Role

We are seeking an Assistant Psychologist to join our Integrated Community Care and Recovery (ICCR) Services team at the Zinnia Centre in Birmingham. This is a fixed-term contract for 23 months.
The successful candidate will work creatively to meet the diverse needs of service users with severe and enduring mental health problems.
Experience of working in teams and post-graduate training in psychological interventions are desirable.
As part of a friendly and supportive Psychological Services Team, you will be committed to developing your skills through clinical experience, training, supervision, and research opportunities.

Person Specification- An upper second-class honours degree or higher in psychology
- Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
- Further post-graduate training in relevant areas of professional psychology and/or research
- Experience of work with people with mental health problems or disabilities
- An awareness and understanding of the needs and difficulties of people with mental health problems and disabilities
- An awareness and understanding of the differential needs of people from black and minority ethnic communities and from other minority groups
- Experience of collecting research data, including questionnaire design and interviewing
- An ability to accept and use supervision appropriately and effectively
- A desire to explore a career in professional psychology
