Job Summary:

The Wilf Ward Family Trust is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Errol House in Boston Spa. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred care and support to individuals with profound learning disabilities and complex physical health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personal care and support to individuals with complex needs, including assistance with mobility, meal preparation, and medication administration.
  • Accompany individuals to a range of activities, including swimming, horse-riding, and wheelchair ice skating sessions.
  • Monitor and record individual's needs, and work collaboratively with the team to develop and implement care plans.
  • Assist with hoists and manual handling, and participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure a safe and supportive environment for individuals.

Requirements:

  • Kind, compassionate, and empathetic approach to care and support.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment checks, including DBS and referencing.
