The Opportunity

This role offers a chance to work directly alongside our MEP Director and become a key part of our engineering team. As Mechanical Associate Director, you'll be responsible for overseeing complex projects, mentoring our engineering team, and contributing to strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Leadership: Inspire and motivate the mechanical engineering team, promoting a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  2. Project Management: Oversee multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality, budget, and timeline targets are met.
  3. Technical Expertise: Provide senior-level technical support, guidance, and problem-solving to ensure outstanding project outcomes.
  4. Sustainability: Champion sustainable design principles and work closely with our Environmental team to deliver innovative, low-energy solutions.
  5. Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor on mechanical systems design and sustainability.
  6. Business Development: Collaborate with senior leadership on identifying new business opportunities and expanding our project portfolio.
  7. Innovation: Drive innovation within the built environment by promoting the use of digital technologies and tools.
Qualifications and Skills
  1. Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, preferably Chartered (CEng).
  2. Proven experience in a senior mechanical engineering role, within the built environment.
  3. Previous experience managing complex projects, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
  4. Strong expertise in sustainable design principles and low-carbon technologies.
  5. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with a client-focused approach.
  6. Strategic mindset; always looking to improve or enhance the quality of what we deliver.
What We Offer
  1. A basic salary in the region of £80,000 - £90,000, with performance-related bonuses.
  2. 27 days annual leave (option to buy an additional week).
