Job Description
Curtis Recruitment is seeking a skilled Accountant to join its team in Camberley. This dynamic role involves working with a diverse range of clients, providing expert advice and accounting solutions to help entrepreneurial and high-growth businesses thrive.

You will be responsible for supporting a manager in delivering a portfolio of services, including statutory accounts, audit, accounting, and VAT advice, as well as self-assessment corporate and personal tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess strong IT skills, particularly in MS Office, advanced Excel skills, and knowledge of accounting software such as IRIS and Xero.

A competitive salary of around £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience, makes this an attractive opportunity for professionals looking to advance their careers in accountancy.

Key Tasks
  1. Supporting a manager in delivering a portfolio of services, including statutory accounts, audit, accounting, and VAT advice.
  2. Preparing statutory accounts, VAT returns, payroll, corporation tax, and personal tax returns.
  3. Ensuring the year-end files are complete with backup schedules to support balance sheet figures.
  4. Handling client enquiries and informing the manager to ensure they are kept fully up-to-date.
  5. Development and documentation of business processes and accounting policies.
  6. Supervision, management, motivation, and training of junior staff.
