Lead Gameplay Designer

Hangar 13, an internal 2K development studio, is seeking an experienced Lead Gameplay Designer to join our team. As a key member of our Gameplay Design team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality gameplay systems and features that deliver an engaging and immersive player experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop gameplay systems and features that meet the project's vision and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure timely delivery of features and systems.
  • Lead a team of designers to shape the player's experience within the game.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior designers to help them grow professionally.
  • Analyze and validate feedback from the team and external user testing to inform design decisions.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine and shipping AAA game titles in a Lead Gameplay/3Cs Design role or similar.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team of designers.
  • Ability to analyze and validate feedback to inform design decisions.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to overcome design challenges.
