About the Role

The successful candidate will work 1:1 with a year 4 student with ASD and Autism, providing emotional and academic support. The role involves supporting pupils and staff members through the medium of Welsh, as well as assisting teachers and fellow teaching assistants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support a year 4 student with Additional Learning Needs on a 1:1 basis.
  • Offer support to pupils and staff members through the medium of Welsh.
  • Support with additional learning needs and some aspects of challenging behaviour.
  • Assist teachers and fellow teaching assistants as part of the school's passionate and hardworking teaching team.
  • Create and maintain a safe, enjoyable, interactive, and engaging learning environment for the pupils, as well as co-workers.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must possess at least 40 days of relevant experience over the last 2-3 years and be able to speak Welsh. Key attributes and skills include empathy, enthusiasm, respect, and dedication, as well as reliability, care, and calmness.
