Reed Accountancy is seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join their team in Basingstoke. The ideal candidate will have a solid construction industry background and be responsible for overseeing the credit control function.
Key Responsibilities:- Contact customers regarding overdue payments and negotiate payment plans.
- Prepare and process payment applications for submission.
- Manage and maintain spreadsheets to track all applications issued and outstanding payment certificates/payments.
- Set up projects on Construct software and ensure accurate data entry.
- Assist the finance director with general finance-related duties and provide financial reports.
- Prepare and monitor a debtor's report with detailed status of all items owed.
- Proven experience in credit control within the construction industry, including knowledge of retention and applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with customers.
- Proficiency in using Sage and Construct software.
- Essential knowledge of Excel and data analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience with payment applications and debt collection.
- Casual dress code and a relaxed work environment.
