Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer - Fuel Processing & Auxiliaries

Drax Group is seeking an experienced Electrical or Instrumentation Engineer to lead our team in the fuel processing and auxiliaries area at Drax Power Station.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead outage engineering support and long-term plant integrity initiatives
  • Develop and implement an engineering and maintenance strategy to support commercial and operating objectives
  • Manage contract risks and supervise contractor work as Contract Owner/User
  • Oversee the effective preparation and implementation of work management systems
  • Ensure compliance with legislative, statutory, corporate, and site policy and procedures

As a successful candidate, you will have a minimum of an HND in an Engineering related discipline, ideally holding a Bachelor's degree and being a member of a Professional Engineering Institution. You will have experience delivering key Engineering projects in operational areas such as fuel oil systems, cranes, and fire systems.

We are looking for someone who can lead and support projects through the lifecycle, including justification, scoping, design, implementation, and commissioning. You will be confident leading people and/or managing contractors and can objectively manage the performance of a team to achieve required results.
