About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team at Royal Mail Group. As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for performing a range of inspections, diagnostic, maintenance, and repair procedures on a variety of vehicles, trailers, and mechanical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair light / heavy goods vehicles
- Use your own personal toolkit to undertake routine maintenance and repair
- Have access to specialist tooling and shared equipment in our modern, fully equipped workshops
Requirements
- Qualified mechanic: fully qualified to an advanced level (IMI Level 3 in Light or Heavy vehicle or equivalent)
- Varied vehicle experience: proven Vehicle Technician experience working on a wide range of vehicles, for example LCV / HGV
- Valid UK driving license: hold a full manual UK driving licence, preferably an HGV licence with trailer experience for Heavy Technicians
- High working standards: take pride in your work and do what is necessary to make sure the job is done effectively
- Flexible to service demands: able to work on a flexible shift rota
What We Offer
- Salary: £38,114 plus a shift allowance of £84.06 per week when working the 13:00 - 21:30 shift
- Additional weekend supplement on Saturday (£50 per shift) and Sunday (£100 per shift) is applicable
