About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Interaction Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting machines. With your expertise in electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification, you will be able to identify and resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on CNC and cutting machinery
  • Assist with the build and repair of various cutting machinery on site
  • Work on new machinery and rebuilds of older machines in the factory and occasionally in the field
  • Some machines require cranes or other handling equipment, but any necessary tools will be provided
  • Conduct planned and preventative maintenance on automated machinery
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety policies

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment is essential
  • Mechanical and electrical fault finding capabilities are crucial
  • A multi-skilled engineer with either a mechanical or electrical bias is required, with an electrical bias being preferred
  • Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics is essential
  • The ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings is vital
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) are advantageous
  • Bench fitting, machining, and fabrication experience are beneficial
  • Knowledge of safety controls is desirable
  • The ability to work independently, self-motivated, willing to learn, and provide solutions to problems

Estimated Salary: £37,000 - £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience, reflects the competitive market rate for this role in Rushden, Northamptonshire.
