The company has achieved a turnover of £17 million in the last financial year and is focused on expanding its sprinkler department, having recently secured residential sprinkler certifications.

Job Description

This role requires exceptional communication skills, as you will collaborate closely with the project management and Business development team. Key responsibilities include managing all design and technical aspects of large projects and small works, ensuring compliance with BS9251, BSEN12845, and other relevant standards from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all design and technical aspects of both large projects and small works.
  • Mentor the junior design engineer team.
  • Collaborate closely with the BD and Projects team to provide technical support and align designs with clients' budget and project goals.
  • Attend design meetings and represent the company at client sites.
  • Lead customer meetings, site visits, and audits, ensuring that technical standards are met.
  • Create and deliver design drawings and oversee the entire design process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need over 5 years of experience in the industry, specifically in sprinkler system design. Residential sprinkler experience is essential, while additional commercial sprinkler experience is welcomed. A Basic Design LPC/BS Qualification is desired, along with strong understanding of LPC, BS, and FM sprinkler standards.
