Job Title: Mechanical Shift Engineer

About the Job:

This is an ideal opportunity for experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineers looking to work in a busy manufacturing setting. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures.
  • Collaborate with day teams to diagnose and repair complex equipment breakdowns.
  • Develop recommendations to improve electrical equipment reliability.
  • Work with maintenance management systems to schedule repairs and tasks.
  • Record and track completed work to ensure accurate reporting.
Essential Skills:

To excel in this position, you must possess:

  • Extensive experience working in manufacturing environments.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and senior staff.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • A deep understanding of good engineering practices and safe working procedures.
  • NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
