About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Civil and Structural Engineer to join our team at Costain, a leading provider of engineering services to the Energy, Water, Transport, Nuclear, and Defence sectors.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil and structural engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in project engineering management roles on FEED and EPC projects for onshore brownfield oil and gas facilities, gas pipelines, and energy transition projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead multidisciplinary teams in the various stages of the project and life cycle on major contracts in the Energy Sector.
  • Develop and implement design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across a range of industries.
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation and standards.
  • Champion Sustainability, Safety, Health, and Environment by putting personal safety and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do and helping the environment and communities to thrive.
  • Act with integrity by always doing the right thing in the right way.
  • Focus on customer needs by striving for excellence through understanding, anticipating, and meeting their needs.

Requirements:

  • BEng or MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in project engineering management roles.
  • Good knowledge of design working practices and installation requirements of the discipline across a range of industries.
  • Extensive knowledge of UK legislation and standards.
