Job Description:

We are seeking a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Mobile School Crossing Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children and vulnerable adults at designated crossing points.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. To have regard for the needs of people with disabilities, especially mobility impaired people wishing to use the crossing point.
  2. Regularly assess the risks associated with operating at the crossing site in order to identify any problems.
  3. Ensure that all uniform and equipment provided is maintained in good condition and replacements requested when needed.

Requirements:

Access to your own vehicle and business insurance is a must, as you will be required to travel to and from crossing sites, as required.

As part of employment with Essex County Council (ECC), should your role require a DBS check you will be required to register with the DBS update service.
