Optical Practice Leader

We are a highly successful and established optical group, with nearly 100 years of experience in providing quality services to our patients.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Optical Manager to develop their career with one of the UK's most prestigious groups.
Main Responsibilities:
- To ensure efficient practice operations and compliance with organisational procedures
- To deliver exceptional customer satisfaction with products and services
- To lead the team effectively, motivating and supporting staff in their roles
- To realise the full potential of the practice in terms of patient numbers and sales targets
- To achieve maximum profitability
- To oversee quality control across all areas
- To manage stock levels efficiently
- To maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the practice
- To ensure health and safety standards are upheld across the practice
- To work closely with the Marketing Department to enhance local marketing efforts
- To drive cost efficiencies
- To dispense spectacles to prescriptions
- To ensure that the sale and supply of spectacles and contact lenses only takes place under the supervision of a registered optician for children under 16 years old and those who are registered as sight impaired or severely sight impaired
Personal Specification - Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Previous management experience would be desirable, or a proven track record of developing and supporting staff
- A strong background in customer service
- Experience of driving business performance in areas such as sales, customer satisfaction and cost efficiencies
- A strong leader, able to motivate and engage with staff at all levels
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to put the customer first and act in a professional manner in all situations, able to act with tact and discretion
- Positive and outgoing
- Flexibility – able to be flexible on days worked and provide cover to other practices
- Well-presented and professional
- Attention to detail
We offer a competitive salary range of £22,000.00-£27,000.00 per year, including a bonus scheme, company events, company pension, employee discount, private dental insurance, private medical insurance, sick pay and store discount.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
Ability to commute/relocate:
Cheadle, Staffordshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
