We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Assistant to join our team at Macildowie Recruitment and Retention. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase Ledger Management: Manage financial, clerical, and administrative tasks to ensure accurate and timely ledger operations.
- Timely Payments: Ensure all payments align with company deadlines and payment terms.
- Invoice Processing: Manage supplier invoices and respond to supplier inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Credit Card Processing: Handle company credit card transactions with precision and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work closely with managers to ensure invoices are processed on time and to a high standard.
- Reconciliations: Perform statement reconciliations and assist with Sales Ledger Accounts.
- Bank Accounts: Gain a full understanding of company bank accounts, with occasional bank reconciliation duties.
- Teamwork: Demonstrate strong organizational skills, working independently or as part of a team to meet strict deadlines.
Requirements:
- Sage 50 Experience: Proficiency in Sage 50 is essential for this role.
- Accounting Background: Previous experience in a similar accounting role is required.
- Bookkeeping Knowledge: Solid understanding of double-entry bookkeeping is necessary.
- IT Skills: Strong IT literacy, especially with Excel and other accounting software.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy and responsibility are key in this role.
- Self-Motivation: Ability to work independently without close supervision.
- Communication: Clear and effective communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
