The Role

We are seeking a Head of Business Support to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. As a key member of our organization, you will provide expert advice and guidance to ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities and deliver safe, high-quality support to our service-users.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as the subject matter expert on health and safety, ensuring compliance with regulations, official standards, and best practice.
  2. Manage the Business Support Team, overseeing properties and spaces to ensure they remain safe and well-equipped for staff and service users.
  3. Line manage the Facilities Manager and Office Co-ordinator.
  4. Compile regular quality and H&S reports.
  5. Undertake regular H&S inspections and investigate safety concerns.
  6. Develop H&S communication programmes.
  7. Manage the H&S reporting system and external IT support provider.
Requirements
  1. Health and safety management experience in residential property, social housing, maintenance, or facilities.
  2. Experience managing health and safety databases and using IT systems.
  3. Knowledge of contractor management.
  4. Awareness of health, safety, and environmental impacts and management.
  5. Ability to manage multiple projects and work to deadlines.
  6. IOSH managing safely qualification.
  7. NEBOSH National General Certification.
  8. Chartered status of IOSH (or an equivalent membership body).
  9. Full, valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
