About the Role

We are seeking a qualified and registered Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy ward based team at East Cheshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective patient care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Supply medication to patients
  • Complete Medicines reconciliation for newly admitted patients
  • Provide medicines management support to wards
  • Manage and process discharge prescriptions at ward level
  • Complete accuracy checking at ward level and in designated slots within the dispensary
  • Support service improvement and become an integral part of the team

Requirements

  • Qualified pharmacy technician with BTEC/NVQ3 in pharmaceutical sciences or recognised equivalent
  • BTEC accuracy checking qualification or equivalent
  • Current professional registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council
