Job Description

Job Title: Shift Laboratory Technician

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Thursday 4pm - 2am

Job Location: Ellesmere Port

Salary: £26,947 inclusive of shift allowance

As a Shift Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting analytical tests on samples in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.
  • Recording results on the relevant IT system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Providing front-line maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure smooth laboratory operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure analysis of samples is performed in compliance with client or company specified test methods.
  • Enter laboratory test data accurately into the relevant IT system, ensuring diagnosis is performed and results are reported within KPIs.
  • Perform maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment to ensure efficient laboratory operations.

Requirements:

Essential:

  • GCSE/ONC in a science subject, with Chemistry being preferred.
  • GCSE Grade C (or similar) in Mathematics and English Language.
