Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a leading organisation to find an experienced HSE Manager for their manufacturing site.

As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for:

Key Responsibilities

• Review and develop all aspects of health, safety, and environment policy and activities

• Monitor, evaluate, and review existing, new, and upcoming Health & Safety, and Environmental legislation to ensure the business has appropriate systems and procedures in place to meet legal compliance

• Work proactively with managers and other key staff to establish and maintain a programme of continuous improvement in the management of Health & Safety, and Environment within their areas of responsibility, including conducting regular audits

• Discuss areas for improvement with relevant staff and/or external bodies and agree appropriate corrective action

• Stay up-to-date with new legislation and maintain a working knowledge of all Health & Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven experience of working in HSE within a manufacturing environment

• A NEBOSH Certificate as a minimum, ideally a NEBOSH Diploma

• Experience of leading a team

• Experience of influencing change across a business
