About the Role

We are seeking a talented Junior Brand Designer to join our team at Mountain Warehouse Ltd. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and commercially successful designs for our Casual and Outerwear ranges.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Design and develop new product lines for Men's, Women's, and Kids departments, ensuring they meet our brand's aesthetic and commercial standards.
  2. Conduct market research to stay ahead of emerging trends, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation.
  3. Oversee the product lifecycle from research to tech pack stage, ensuring seamless collaboration with buying teams.
  4. Work closely with buying teams to drive design direction and ensure timely delivery of samples.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our brand's image and ensure all designs reflect this.
  6. Create high-quality trim and tech packs, adhering to industry standards and deadlines.
  7. Present and articulate seasonal creative to management level, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  8. Maintain critical path to ensure all samples are delivered on time, meeting seasonal deadlines.
  9. Liaise with team members to ensure excellent communication and efficiency.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in the creative industry, with a technical foundation in construction, fabrics, and finishes.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
  • A commercial eye and engaging design portfolio demonstrating design development with tech pack examples.
  • Excellent time management and project coordination skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and work to multiple deadlines in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working as part of a team, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
