Senior Financial Modeller Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Modeller to join our team at esure Group. As a key member of our Finance team, you will be responsible for leading the enhancement of our Financial Planning and Forecasting model in Anaplan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Head of FP&A and Commercial team to develop and improve the Financial Planning and Forecasting model.
  • Optimize processes for usability, efficiency, adaptability, and robustness of the Anaplan model.
  • Identify and prioritize forecasting enhancements to meet business and regulatory needs.
  • Work from a requirements' backlog with minimal direction, ensuring strong change control.
  • Collaborate with Business teams to align financial models with business assumptions.
  • Assist in running efficient and accurate forecast cycles.
  • Support the development of solutions to create a fast-moving CFO function.
  • Understand the full forecasting process, from data sources to P&L, balance sheet, and solvency outputs.
  • Train, support, and develop model users, sharing best practices and providing task coverage.
  • Ensure timely business decisions in line with deadlines.
  • Support the Finance Team to mitigate risks from single points of failure.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with insurance/financial services experience.
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Extensive Anaplan financial modelling experience; Tableau and Databricks experience beneficial.
  • Proficiency in data structuring.
  • Agile change environment experience.
  • Ability to manage tasks quickly and accurately under pressure.
  • Strong communicator, capable of explaining sophisticated topics to all partners.
  • Highly organized, able to work across teams and environments while maintaining precision.
  • Problem-solving skills and outcome-focused attitude.
