About the Role

Carrington West is seeking a highly skilled Senior Structural Engineer to join our team of experts in building design consultancy. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering innovative structural solutions for diverse building projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead conceptual design and project management, including programming works, and oversee a small team of engineers.
  • Conduct hands-on structural design and analysis for various building projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Review and approve design documentation and reports, ensuring accuracy and quality.
  • Mentor junior engineers and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered Engineer (or approaching) status, such as ICE or IStructE.
  • Strong experience in structural design within the building sector, with expertise in all main materials, including RC frame design.
  • Proficiency in structural engineering software, such as Tekla, Tedds, and Robot.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
