Special Education Needs Tutor

About the Role:The successful candidate will provide tailored support and guidance to Key Stage 3 students with Special Educational Needs. Duties include creating individualised learning plans, delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educational professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
Required Qualifications and Experience:A relevant teaching qualification
Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a similar role
Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices
Key Skills and Abilities:Excellent understanding of the KS3 curriculum
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students
Proficient in using technology to enhance learning
Strong organisational skills
Working Conditions:The Special Education Needs Tutor will work in a classroom or home setting, in Harlow, Essex. The role may involve working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. The tutor may also be required to attend meetings with parents, school staff, and external professionals to discuss student progress and development.
