Data Security Engineer

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Professional to join our team at Net Talent, a leading Managed Security Service Provider based in Scotland.

The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including hands-on experience with deploying Microsoft Purview services in production, as well as an in-depth understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite.

As a Data Security Engineer, you will be responsible for assessing client environments, providing strategic recommendations to reduce information security risks, and developing, implementing, and performing functional testing of Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Management policies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate client on-boarding to the centralised Managed Data Security Platform.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on Microsoft Purview, focusing on Data Loss Prevention, Insider Risk Management, and Information Protection.
  • Assess client environments and provide strategic recommendations to reduce information security risks.
  • Develop, implement, and perform functional testing of Data Loss Prevention and Insider Risk Management policies.
Requirements:
  • Strong ability to communicate modern concepts in information classification, data leakage prevention, and risk management.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying Microsoft Purview services in production.
  • In-depth understanding of the Microsoft 365 suite.
  • Knowledgeable about regulatory compliance standards relevant to organisations using cloud services and involved in data processing.
