About the Role:

Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join its Consulting & Surveying team. This exciting opportunity will see you working closely with clients to deliver property management services with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer orientation.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will conduct detailed property inspections to identify building defects, focusing on damp, mould, and disrepair surveys, and provide expert advice and solutions.
  • Your key tasks will include producing high-quality condition reports, specifying necessary works for the DLO, and managing contractors to ensure timely completion.
  • You will support the team of Response Surveyors in conducting in-depth damp investigations and provide necessary training and advice.
  • You will handle customer complaints related to property conditions and appear in court as a witness if required.
Requirements:
  • Relevant technical qualification (HNC or higher) in Building, Surveying, Damp Remedial Works, or a similar technical field, or at least 6 years of experience in a related sector.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining performance and budget targets.
  • Strong communication skills, able to convey complex information effectively to both contractors and customers.
  • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel across the operating regions.
