Job Title: Senior Residential Support Worker

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join our team at Barnardo's. As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care and support to vulnerable children and young people in our residential services.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide leadership and support to Residential Support Workers in their day-to-day duties.
* Build trust and develop nurturing relationships with service users to promote their independence, wellbeing, strengths, and capabilities.
* Work in partnership with parents/carers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for service users.
* Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and other domestic tasks.
* Document information accurately and ensure records are kept up to date.
* Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:

* A Level 3 qualification relevant to residential childcare or a willingness to complete this in the required timeframe.
* Relevant experience working with children and young people.
* At least 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a residential care setting.
* Ability to demonstrate a good understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures.
* Flexibility to commit to shift work, including weekends and bank holidays.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
